How does the Packing Motor work?

AI models deliverable products into three-dimensional objects based on their size and shape (or estimates based on weight or volume), and calculates the optimal packing order into the chosen transport space.

Our model considers the dimensions of the transport space, like truck volume or the different sizes of storage boxes in an automatic storage, and the packing type, like trolleys or pallets, as well as product-specific requirements, like weight and delivery order.

The algorithm maximises use of space, minimises waste and makes sure, that products are packed in the right order for unloading. Everything happens automatically and precisely, decreasing the need for manual labor and improving supply chain efficiency.

Dynamik Stackpacker is a cloud-based solution, which doesn't run out of computing power. Our algorithms typically perform optimisation tasks in under a second. Optimisation can be integrated through modern APIs into practically any inventory management system.

We process your data securely and use the Azure cloud environment. Our servers typically reside in the EU and Norway. We own the IPRs of our algorithms and development is entirely in our own hands. This way, we can easily tailor our optimisation solutions to meet the individual needs of our clients.

Transport of large products

When transporting large products, such as doors, our Packing Motor optimises the order in a way that allows the maximal use of the truck’s transport space. This minimises wasted space and enables larger delivery batches at a time.

Foodstuff Transport

Weight- and volume-based orders are converted into a usable form for transport capacity calculation, which can be done by estimating the volume of products. This ensures efficient loading of goods and reduces transport costs.

Warehouse Management

When new products arrive at the warehouse, the Packing Motor helps determine, which compartment products should be placed into. It also takes into account sales predictions, which can be used to optimise storage usage and ease order-picking later on.

E-Commerce Packing Processes

Based on the dimensions of ordered products, the Packing Motor automatically select an optimal box and an order, in which the products will be packed. This decreases waste in packing materials and speeds up the whole process, especially when used in tandem with packing robots.

Variable Deliveries

When delivery quantities and product sizes constantly vary, the Packing Motor will calculate the actual capacity required by the orders and make sure that all products fit. It will also optimise the order, in which products are packed in the transport space, which makes loading and unloading quicker and easier.
